Steam Kicks Off New PC Game Sale And Revamps Wishlists

Steam's Lunar New Year sale has officially begun, and it features discounts for a variety of games. Thanks to this system, we learned last month that the Steam Lunar New Year sale will be kicking off on the 15th of February and is due to end on the 19th.

Valve has introduced a number of new filters and sort options to Steam Wishlists. That's especially useful if you want to whizz down your list and stick games in your cart as you go - say, when it's sale time. Many have dozens of games in their wishlist, but what if you're only in the mood for an RPG?

But it's the filters that are most welcome.

The other new filters that hit Steam today allow players to hide Early Access, VR-Only, and Pre-release on their Wishlist or display only games that are less than $5, less than $10, less than that player's Steam Wallet Balance. So we added the release date to each Wishlist item along with a filter option to hide unreleased games until they become available.

Below are some specific deals and you can visit the Steam Store to see the full list of now discounted titles.

The actual listings in the wishlist have also been bolstered with more information. First of all, various statuses will be displayed in the root wishlist list, including whether the game is in Early Access, what it's score rating is, and you'll be able to purchase without clicking through to the game page, too. With that in mind, games with a single purchase option can now be added directly to your cart, but for games with alternative purchase options, you can click through to the store page to find the right option for you. For example, some games have a Deluxe Edition or multiple Starter Pack options that make the offer more complicated.
