Far Cry 5 has microtransactions but not loot boxes

Ubisoft is calling the tool Far Cry Arcade. The jury is still out on whether the game will deliver an interesting story, but what we do know about the fast-approaching sequel tells us we're in for a typically insane experience. It's madcap, but not in a bad way.

Now, if you're looking for something a little more formal, Far Cry 5 will also have a Season Pass that will be comprised of three separate experiences.

All Far Cry 5 players will have access to Far Cry Arcade, the evolution of the map editor that promises more free gameplay and map creation opportunities for players. This editor promises to be bigger, more versatile, and more packed with content than it's been at any point in the series' past, and will let players create their own solo, co-op, and PvP levels. A new company blog post indicates that it will include approximately 7000 different objects players can use to create new levels, some of which will be borrowed from Watch Dogs and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag as well as previous Far Crys. You can get the full lowdown via the official page, and we've embedded a trailer above. Then the Far Cry 5 Arcade Map Editor will sweep you off your feet.

As is the case with all of today's AAA blockbusters, Ubisoft has plans to support Far Cry 5 with a Season Pass of paid downloadable content.

You can check out Far Cry 5's Arcade map editor in action in the video below. Completing these Live Event challenges will award players with cosmetic items like vehicle and weapon skins. We're going to make sure it's more visible than ever. "You can. they're integrated right into the game".

In addition to all of the above, Far Cry 3: Classic Edition is also being thrown into the package.

With three weeks left until Far Cry 5 launches worldwide, Ubisoft has provided further details as to what's included in its Season Pass.
