OnePlus Tells Us to Get Ready for OnePlus 6

The company co-founder Carl Pei has confirmed that OnePlus 6 will feature a notch in advance to curb the negativity around notch design at the time of official launch. With the 5T out of stock, the OnePlus 6 can't be far from store shelves.

The first official teaser of the OnePlus 6 is finally here and while it does confirm the name of the official flagship, it also reveals that the phone could see an announcement very early this year. Chinese smartphone smartphone makers Oppo and Vivo also launched their R15 and X21 in China last month.

GizmoChina reiterates that the smartphone will debut at the end of April, which would be early considering the end June launch timeline for its previous flagship smartphones.

OnePlus is also working on gesture controls that will eliminate the need of navigation buttons, and you will get additional space at the bottom. "It'll be bigger than the Essential Phone, smaller than the iPhone". For photography, the smartphone will come equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 12MP and 20MP sensors. In fact, the report says the smartphone could arrive in a couple of weeks.

- Most recently, alleged pricing of the OnePlus 6 leaked online, suggesting the phone will be offered in three storage variants with the base model coming with 64GB storage. According to the image, the smartphone will have a vertically arranged dual camera setup at its back.

The device passed through certification today with the Android 8.1 operating system. This kind of confirms that the OnePlus 6 won't look like the OPPO R15 - at least from the back. This will be followed by 128GB and 256GB internal storage models.

The certification website revealed the upcoming OnePlus 6 having a model number of A6003. It is still unclear whether the company will be able to keep a similar pricing for the OnePlus 6, or we could see the base variant launch just a few notches higher at Rs 34,000.
