Brock Lesnar can still compete in UFC despite new WWE contract

The Greatest Royal Rumble will stream live on the award-winning WWE Network and will be available on pay-per-view outside of the Middle East with regional broadcast information forthcoming.

It had also been previously reported that Lesnar's WWE contract would conclude after WrestleMania.

Brock Lesnar has re-signed a new deal with WWE, and it appears one of the terms will allow him to return to fight in UFC.

The WWE announced on Monday that Lesnar has re-signed with the organization and will defend his Universal Title against Reigns again in a steel cage match at the Greatest Royal Rumble. According to Dave Meltzer, Lesnar and McMahon kept the Wrestlemania result "a secret from nearly everyone, including the top executives and the writing team".

The 40-year-old Lesnar fought in 2016 vs. Mark Hunt, scoring a win that was overturned to a no-contest due to multiple failed drug tests.

Speaking on UFC Tonight last week, Dana White said that the 5-3 fighter will be returning.

While we don't know what's in store for Lesnar's long-term future, we at least know that he's not done in WWE just yet, and that a return to the UFC will be happening before long.

USADA handed down a one-year suspension, but that has been frozen and Lesnar will need to complete over six months of that ban if he wants to return to the octagon.
