Motorola unveils Moto G6 and Moto E5 2018 Series

Moto G6 Play specifications The Moto G6 Play also features the same 5.7-inch FullHD extended display like the G6 and runs stock Android 8.0 Oreo. In typical Motorola fashion, all four devices share consistent design themes. They have the innovations that matter most to you.

Pricing for the Moto E5 Play and E5 Plus will be set by carriers in the U.S., but we can expect the devices will be priced between $100 and $200 based on specifications alone. We spent a little time with the new E5 and G6 lines, and they have a lot going for them. All three feature 18:9 displays, but the Play only has a 5.7-inch 1440 x 720 screen compared to a more respectable 5.7 and 5.9-inch 2160 x 1080 on the other two phones.

The dual-camera array on the underside of the Moto G6 Plus may seem similar to that of the Moto G5 Plus' but, once again, things are actually quite different. These are the Moto G6, G6 Plus, and G6 Play; and the Moto E5 Play and E5 Plus. The effect was both precise and quick when I focused on a pink flower, taking no time at all to work its magic. There's no need to hold down the home button or tap anything - simply point the phone at a landmark or object, and the G6 will identify it or link to a Google search where applicable. And with the Moto G6, you have two choices to better fit your needs. You've got 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM, a single 13MP camera, and a Snapdragon 427 quad-core processor. This week the Commerce Department put the hammer on ZTE, which has about 10 percent market share in the USA, mostly in low-priced phablets.

The G6 will cost $249 at launch, and will be accompanied by a cheaper model known as the G6 Play.

The Moto E5 Play is only available in black. That is just as long as the G6 Play, but with a larger screen.

The Motorola Moto G5 started at £169 a year ago but Motorola has clearly chose to take its popular handset upmarket slightly with more storage for starters.

All the three phones have a Moto X4-like 3D glass design - although the Moto G6 Play is what you can call glass-like since it's inherently plastic - with the Moto G6 Plus having a 5.9-inch and the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play a 5.7-inch bezel-less display with an unusual 18:9 aspect ration. Unlike the G6, the G6 Play has a fingerprint sensor at the back and houses 32GB inbuilt storage. Step up to the £269 Moto G6 Plus and you're getting a bigger screen and beefier Snapdragon 630.

What excites us most, however, is the battery.

Finally, we come to the E5 Play, which is to put it lightly is the runt of the litter. The E5 Play is only coming to the USA and Canada. It really feels like a refreshed Moto E4, not a part of the E5 family.

The E5 Plus is the one to get, provided you can handle the size and weight.

Along with the Moto G6-series smartphones, Lenovo-owned Motorola has also unveiled the Moto E5-series smartphones at an event in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The G6 is also the only one with USB Type-C, where the others use micro-USB.

"The Moto E5 Plus has a 6" HD+ IPS LCD display with a 720x1440p resolution.

The two unlocked units have nearly all of the LTE bands that all the United States carriers support, but won't have T-Mobile's new Band 71 unless T-Mobile requests it, Moto reps said. The Moto E5 Plus is where it's at at the bottom of the Motorola range. Check back then for full reviews.
