Mueller's team reveals obstruction, collusion questions he wants to ask President Trump

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has submitted a list of 48 questions to President Donald Trump's legal team he hopes to have answered in a prospective interview as part of the investigation into possible obstruction of justice and campaign collusion with Russian Federation.

The Times said it obtained the list from someone outside Trump's legal team.

Mueller's team has reportedly told Trump's lawyers he is not a target of the investigation.

Mueller's list of questions for Trump was obtained and reported on by The New York Times on Monday.

Mueller also wants to know about Trump's thinking during the two publicly known occassions in which Trump sought to fire Mueller.

Trump also should expect questions about his first National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, his treatment of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the 2016 Trump Tower meeting between Donald Trump Jr.

Trump, for his part, has said on multiple occasions he would welcome the chance to set the record straight as the investigation looks into the issue of possible coordination between members of Trump's 2016 campaign and the Russian government.

None of the charges directly relate to work he performed for Trump's campaign. Mueller planned to ask, according to the New York Times reporting.

Rudy Giuliani recently joined Trump's legal team, with the express goal of dealing with Mueller's investigation and trying to help bring it to a conclusion.

It remains unclear whether Mueller is investigating Manafort's campaign activities.

One question asks what discussions Mr Trump may have had regarding "any meeting with [Russian President Vladimir Putin]".

Regarding Flynn, Mueller wants to know what Trump knew about the retired general's phone calls with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

Speaking before a friendly audience, which often broke into applause, Comey spoke about his observations of Trump, Mueller's investigation and the impact Trump's presidency is having on the American political landscape.

The following day, according to memos written by Mr Comey, Mr Trump cleared the Oval Office of other officials and encouraged Mr Comey to drop the investigation into Mr Flynn. "Who played a role?"

Another asks if there were any efforts to reach out to Mr Flynn, "about seeking immunity or possible pardon".

Previously, Trump said he would be willing to sit down for an interview under oath with Mueller.
