Man Utd defender Eric Bailly offers support to Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius

The Real Madrid captain has been slammed on social media for his unprofessional tactics in Kiev after he injured Salah and potentially put his chances of going to the World Cup with Russian Federation in jeopardy.

If the Italian club are immovable, Klopp has a dilemma.

The Wales forward bagged his first with an overhead kick already being ranked as the greatest goal ever scored in a Champions League final. Two horrendous errors from Lloris Karius meant that Liverpool left Kiev empty handed, but with a new found vigour to finally buy a decent goalkeeper.

If Liverpool land Alisson, then Karius is expected to remain at the club as back-up with Simon Mignolet the man set to leave after falling out of favour under Klopp last season. He is tipped as being one of the brightest goalkeeping sparks in the football world right now.

"Haven't really slept until now. the scenes are still running through my head again and again", Karius wrote on his Instagram page.

Merseyside Police released a statement saying its officers were aware of "comments / threats" made on social media to Karius.

Karius said: "If I could go back in time, I would". The German has had death threats from a minority of idiotic Liverpool fans because of his terrible performance. I know that I messed up with the two mistakes and let you all down.

"I'm proud of the team, I'm proud of the lads, I'm proud of the fans that travelled for such a long time and the fans around the world who supported us".

'I think it was a big blow for us - it seemed like a big blow for us the way we reacted after his injury.

Manchester United lost 1-0 to Chelsea FC in the FA Cup final at Wembley last weekend after Alexis Sanchez's first-half penalty.

"To sell a player, you need three components - an offer, an offer which is accepted and the desire of the lad to change clubs, and we have none of these components", Gazzetta dello Sport reported Monchi as saying. When we goalkeepers see our colleagues make mistakes, we suffer with them.
