Wildwood Police Release Body Cam Video Of Controversial Arrest On Beach

Weinman now faces several charges, including two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer.

Moments before the beachgoer is pushed to the ground and repeatedly punched, the officer tells her that she's "about to get dropped". As the video continues, Weinman says, "I didn't do anything to disrespect you". The camera was reactivated during the struggle with the woman seen in the third video.

"Look I don't care who you are and what you are, the worst people (to try to subdue) are women", he said. But the situation escalates when Weinman refuses to give the officers her last name. He made those assertions based on her recollection before seeing the body camera footage, he told The Post. "Upon the conclusion of the investigation in the coming days, and only after final review by the Cape May County Prosecutors Office, the Wildwood Police Department will release the findings and outcome of the investigation".

Weinman was arrested on Saturday and charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, aggravated assault by spitting bodily fluids at/on a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, obstruction and minor in possession of alcohol.

In a Monday Facebook post, which has since been taken down, Weinman admitted to possessing alcohol, but that she hadn't been drinking.

Mayor Ernie Troiano Jr. had previously said the videos would likely "vindicate" the officers.

"You're not allowed to beat me like that", she cries, then spits in the direction of the arresting officer. "I didn't do anything wrong", as she kicks her legs at the officers.

I go to stop her for. underage drinking. EXTENDED BODY CAM FOOTAGE OF WILDWOOD BEACH ARRESTWildwood police said the delay in releasing the video was due to hiding the identities of others on the beach not involved in the incident. The video ends with her appearing to push the lead officer, momentarily blacking out his camera again. Police say releasing the video was imperative for transparency and wasn't done sooner because juveniles and bystanders had to be redacted. Did she deserve to get hit?

She said she shared the video - which has been shared more than 130,000 times online - because the "situation was handled wrongly and blew out of proportion". "If she prevails in this then she certainly could pursue a civil action for any physical/emotional/injuries".

"From what I see on the video and only on the video, from not even talking to the officers, I think they did a decent job", Regalbuto said.
