George Clooney reportedly hurt in motorcycle crash in Italy

Actor George Clooney has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a auto while riding his motorcycle in Italy. Here's the latest on his condition.

La Nuova Sardegna said the 57-year-old was headed to a film set on Tuesday when his motorbike was hit by a auto.

Clooney was taken by ambulance to the John Paul II hospital emergency room, but his injuries were not serious, NBC News reported.

Local police are investigating the accident, Ansa said. "He fell. The vehicle driver called an ambulance".

Clooney, 57, had just left his hotel on a motor scooter when he crashed into a small truck, Italy's Chi magazine said on its website. Luckily, there doesn't seem to be anything more than some bruising in terms of injuries.

They all came together at the up-market Il Marino di Puntaldia restaurants after George had finished filming.

This is not the first time George has had a scary run-in on a motorbike - back in 2007, he and then-girlfriend, Sarah Larson, were involved in an even scarier crash in Weehawken, New Jersey.

ET has reached out to Clooney's rep for comment.
