Trump just made two problematic admissions about the Trump Tower meeting

On May 16, 2018, Donald Trump Jr. testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee that his father, then-candidate Donald Trump, had no foreknowledge of the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting Junior held with other Trump presidential campaign officials and several Kremlin-connected operatives.

US President Donald Trump renewed his attacks on two of his favorite targets: the special counsel Russia probe and the news media, while he appeared to confirm that his son's Trump Tower meeting with a Russian lawyer was aimed at getting information about Hillary Clinton. Trump claimed that the meeting was "totally legal and done all the time in politics", adding that he had no knowledge about it at the time.

He concludes the tweet by saying, "I did not know about it!"

The infamous meeting was thrust back into the spotlight last month after Trump's former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, alleged Trump approved the meeting.

The fusillade of tweets came from Bedminster, Trump's golf course, where he is ensconced in a property that bears his name at every turn and is less checked in by staffers.

"I'm sure that Rudy Giuliani spends big chunks of his days chain-smoking cigarettes, white-knuckling it, just hoping another tweet doesn't show up", Goldberg said on air.

Lawyers described the statement as "short but accurate", according to The Post.

There are few people in the world more convinced of Donald Trump's greatness and brilliance than Donald Trump Jr.

In another, he expressed frustration with both the media and Mueller's probe. "They can also cause War!" Trump wrote. "They are very unsafe & sick!"
