Id Software showcases insane first gameplay for Doom Eternal

Id Software showcases insane first gameplay for Doom Eternal

Following Doom (2016), the Doom Slayer is now fighting demons in a literal Hell on Earth, though that won't be the only location players will be able to visit. The glory kills we saw during were definitely a step beyond the original game and, visually, the game looks like a slight improvement on the previous game, which was quite impressive already.

Note: The gameplay footage begins around the 1:16:00 mark.

As showcased by Bethesda's latest gameplay footage, Doom Eternal aims to up the ante in almost every way possible-and that means total chaos.

The game will feature an all new soundtrack by local composer Mick Gordon, who created the soundtrack for the first game, so fans will be happy and when you combine new music with new weapons and more, things will become quite interesting. It seems like Vulcan API is really letting the devs run wild with the graphical prowess as well as allowing scaling down for less powerful machines. There will also be new weapons, such as a massive flamethrower and deadly blade.

DOOM Eternal- When is it coming out?

We'll have more information on the game as news comes to light on the way to the game's 2019 release.

There's a lot to be excited about, but DOOM Eternal doesn't have a release date yet. The lead character has been enhanced and the team also showed off some new enemy models.

Promising "twice as many demons", DOOM Eternal will bring back the likes of the Archvile, Pain Elemental, and the Arachnotron, as you'll see in the gameplay reveal trailer below. Thankfully, Bethesda promises additional Doom Eternal news soon so it shouldn't be long before we get more information. Todd Howard appeared on stage during the Xbox press conference and revealed Fallout 76 is an online multiplayer game that tasks players with rebuilding the Wasteland.

So you can look forward to that! As you can imagine, it was just as bloody and chaotic as you'd expect.
