Apple iPhone 2018: Get ready for iPhone XS with OLED display

Apple is hosting its annual media event on September 12, where we should see the company announce not one, but three new iPhones.

Apple is expected to unveil its new iPhone models as it hosts an event on 12 September in California.

The event's tagline this year is "Gather round", and features a circle which looks like a bird's eye view of Apple Park, or the Steve Jobs Theater. However, while we may see some of these debut September 12, it's likely Apple will save other products for a second event in October or November. To recall, Apple launched the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X previous year. The rest two phones will sport a 5.8-inch screen similar to the last year's iPhone X. Also, the rest of the two phones will come with the OLED display panel making them much alike to the iPhone X.

And a mid-range iPhone with a 6.1-inch LCD display. The smaller 5.8-inch model is reported to carry a price tag of $800 (Rs 57,000 approximately). In India, this model could cost around Rs 60,000 after taxes. At the same time, there'll also been speculation about a new Mac mini, Apple's compact desktop computer.

Nonetheless, with new iPhones and iOS 12 to talk about, that's probably more than enough to fill a keynote. It appears that although the body of the Apple Watch Series 4 has changed slightly in comparison to its predecessors, it will still be compatible with the vast ecosystem of first- and third-party watch bands. In its past three generations (including the updated Series 1), the design of the world's best selling smartwatch has remained unchanged with 38mm and 42mm sizes. This will be the most affordable iPhone launched in a while now.

The "real sizzle" for investors remains the iPhone because it's the hub for nearly all Apple's other offerings like the Apple Watch, AirPods, and Apple Music, Munster added. Other possible products that could be on deck for a grand reveal include new Apple Watch models, an updated iPad Pro and the next version of its AirPods.
