MARVEL has revealed the first proper look at Brie Larson as Captain Marvel. You'll learn how her current outfit is a tribute to the former hero Mar-Vell and see the Kree influences in Brie Larson's costume.

Captain Marvel has a March 8, 2019 release directed by the writing/directing team of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck and stars Academy Award victor Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, with Clark Gregg, and Jude Law. Putting Carol on the Kree Starforce is another change from the canon that may strengthen her ties to the Marvel cosmic universe. In addition, Lee Pace will be reprising his role as Ronan from Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Captain Marvel is the only film standing in the way of the highly-anticipated Avengers 4, which will serve as the follow-up to Avengers: Infinity War.

Following Captain Marvel, which is set to hit theatres in March, Marvel has a Black Widow film starring Scarlett Johansson in the works with Cate Shortland having signed on to direct.
