Two More Bombs Sent to Biden, Actor Robert De Niro

A high level police source told WPIX the package was addressed to actor Robert De Niro and that the device appears similar to those sent to former President Barack Obama and 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, among others.

"X-ray images show that the package addressed to De Niro contains a device similar to the pipe bombs found in other packages this week that were addressed to prominent critics of Trump, the two sources said", CNN reported.

Two packages intercepted at a DE mail facility were addressed to former Vice President Joe Biden and is similar to those containing bombs.

A New York City police bomb squad has removed a suspicious package from a Manhattan building associated with actor Robert De Niro.

The official said another package addressed to Biden was also found Thursday morning, that one at a postal center in New Castle, Delaware.

Federal Bureau of Investigation agents say they have intercepted a suspicious package intended for former Vice President Joe Biden, after a morning raid on a post office in New Castle, Delaware.

An 8th suspicious package was reported at a Tribeca building, the morning after a threatening string of similar packages were sent to top Democrats.

Other targets included prominent African American Democrats - Mr Obama's former attorney general Eric Holder and Maxine Waters, a lawmaker from California - both outspoken Trump critics. There's also been no immediate claim of responsibility.

"I have been informed by U.S. Capitol Police that my Washington, DC office was the target of a suspicious package that has been referred to the FBI", Waters said in a statement on October 24.

Leading Democrats called the threats a symptom of a coarsening brand of political rhetoric promoted by Trump, who also condemned the acts but blamed the media, his frequent foil, for much of the angry tone of the time.

Law enforcement says the bombs were packed with shards of glass, however, none of the packages reached their intended targets.

"The most highly trained experts in the world are investigating today's suspicious package in #TriBeCa", O'Neill's tweet reads. "It has gotten so bad and hateful that it is beyond description". Clean up your act.try to act Presidential.

The packages sent to Biden were considered suspicious due to its similarities to other packages sent this week, law enforcement officials said.

"Whether it's one person or a network, not really sure at this point", NY police chief James O'Neill told CNN, saying he expected those responsible to be identified and arrested within the next few days.

"Acts or threats of political violence have no place in the United States", Trump said.

FBI Director Christopher Wray said in a statement yesterday his agency would lead a Joint Terrorism Task Force of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to "continue to work to identity and arrest whosoever is responsible for sending these packages".

Barack Obama: The package sent to Obama was intercepted in Washington, DC, during routine mail screening procedures, the Secret Service said.

The package at De Niro's building on Greenwich Street had the same stamps and return address for Wasserman Schultz in Florida.
