The first Trump-Kim summit took place in June in Singapore but Trump has said the next meeting will probably take place at a new location.

As Trump returned from the G20 summit of world leaders in Argentina over the weekend, he told reporters aboard Air Force One that a second summit may happen in 'January or February'.

The president added that he plans at some point to invite Kim to the United States.

Both the leaders has signed a roughly worded document over the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, but the progress has been ceased as Pyongyang and Washington argued over the document's meaning.

U.S. secretary of state Mike Pompeo was about to meet with the top officials of North Korea in early November, but however, was not successful as Pyongyang starts insisting Washington to ease sanctions.

South Korea's President Moon Jae-in is determined that this railway project will go ahead, says our correspondent.

He said it was essential that global sanctions on North Korea remain in place until complete denuclearization could be achieved.

Based on the results of the inter-Korean study that would end on December 17, South Korea would start rebuilding North Korean railway stations and related facilities.

But differences remain between Washington and Seoul on how to proceed with Kim, as the dovish Moon favours more robust engagement with the North.

It comes as the North and South Korea have pushed to implement a wide-ranging military agreement reached in September to reduce tensions across their border.

The South Koreans and their counterparts will live in the train, inspecting two railway lines for a total of 18 days - one linking the North's southernmost Kaesong City to Sinuiju City near the Chinese border, and the other connecting Mount Kumgang near the inter-Korean border to Tumen River bordering Russian Federation in the east.

Moon said that he and Trump had agreed during their meeting that Kim's visit to Seoul would play a "very positive role" in U.S.

Trump's latest praise for Kim, in the formal setting of a summit with Moon, shows that he is still emphasizing his personal rapport despite stalled nuclear talks.

For his part, Trump discussed his intention to have a second US-DPRK summit, and restated with Moon their commitment to closely coordinate on next steps, Xinhua news agency reported. The two leaders said Kim's visit to the South Korean capital "would provide additional momentum to their joint efforts to establish peace on the Korean peninsula", Moon's press secretary Yoon Young-chan said.
